    Hello Tumblr

    *waves*

    My usual procrastination with my university work has thrust me into making a tumblr account which will now take over my life until I eventually die because I’ve forgotten to get food or something. I’m also convincing myself that I can’t do my work anyway because I can only work in silence, which means turning my music off, which means I’ll be able to hear my flatmate and her boyfriend in the room next to mine…

    So here I am in tumbland instead of writing 3000 words about the relative roles of ethnicitiy, poverty and religion in 19th century anti-Irish prejudice, I think I made the better choice.

    I’ve had blogs before but I’ve failed to keep up with them after a couple of months so I’m hoping this one stays the course. I’m also getting a DSLR camera for my birthday in just over 2 weeks so I’ll hopefully be uploading some photos as I learn how to use it, something else that will distract me from uni work!

    I could also post gig reviews seeing as I go to a fair few but for some reason i don’t seem to have many coming up at the moment. Seeing as Noel Fielding cancelled his stand up tour I just have some music gigs; Kevin Devine in Manchester and Leeds, Frank Turner in London and in Manchester in March I think, and Brand New in London in the new year.

    Speaking of New Year, I should find out if we’re throwing a party in the flat. If not I think I’ll go to my friends’ Jamie and Rachel’s get together in their tiny flat, don’t much fancy KD’s house party or a family meal. Besides, new boyfriend + family meals =awkward, it’s going to be weird enough when he comes to stay for Christmas, weird but awesome!

    Anyway, I’m up to the last song on my playlist now so better either put more music on or start work if there’s no shenanigans going on next door.
